The selection of barley is not very strict on the planting land. It can be planted on ordinary land, but it is suitable for planting in sunny, fertile loam and low-lying waterlogged land. Severe drought conditions are not suitable for planting. Seed treatment soaked in warm water for 24 hours before sowing to facilitate germination; after removing, dressing with 70% thiophanate-methyl WP or 50% carbendazim WP according to 0.5% of the seed amount to prevent smut , the effect is 100%. After mixing, the seeds are spread out and stored in a cool place (do not put in bags), and can be sown after 3 to 4 days. The fertilization method and dosage are roughly the same as those of corn, and it is appropriate to use about 20~25kg of compound fertilizer per mu. It can be applied at one time or divided into two applications (base fertilizer + top-dressing fertilizer, top-dressing when the plant grows to 40~80cm), and the effect of two-time application is better.
